Well for starters, I have a degree in Information Technology. It's really too bad the tech sector bottomed out, since I haven't yet had that piece of paper come in handy. I would love to tell you I have spent lots of time and money at some prestigious art college learning the intricacies of Graphic Design, but I haven't. I am self-taught. Everything I know about design comes from books, the web, fellow designers and experience. I guess you could say I have an insatiable appetite for learning. It's kind of a catch 22 position, in one field I have a degree but no experience, in the other I have experience but no degree. It's almost comical when you think about it... almost.
Sometimes I call myself a digital artist, sometimes I say graphic designer, sometimes I say I am a web designer. Its all semantics. Most of my work is designer primarily for viewing on the web, I do occasionally get the chance to work on print projects, unfortunately those are projects few and far between. I really should work on one of my wallpapers in a higher resolution so I can blow it up... poster size, I could then hang it on my wall. That would be sweet, but I digress.
My tools of choice are (in no particular order) my 8" Wacom Intuos 2 (I never leave home without it) and all those links to the right.
